In just a few short days you will be able to enjoy the spectacular scenery. The paths are narrow and little used and you will get a real feeling of adventure as the forest closes around you. From time to time, you will get tantalizing glimpses of the outside world. Porters from the Black Hmong minority will carry your personal luggage and other necessary equipment. You will sleep in 2 - 3 man tents at small improvised sites located in areas of flat ground. Our cooks will prepare delicious food for you to enjoy, accompanied by the exotic sounds of the jungle. Our team will work hard to maximize your chances of reaching the top but of course, your own strength, fitness, and determination will also be essential to ensure you reach the peak. Climbing Fansipan is not an easy trek. The trails are steep and the weather conditions extremely variable. Therefore, in the interests of your safety and the safety of our team, Duc Minh Travel will cancel or reschedule a Fansipan climb in case of bad weather conditions.
Fansipan itself is an attraction of Sapa area as well as Northern Vietnam. The peak is a part of Hoang Lien mountain range, which is under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. The trip offers you an opportunity to explore the beautiful nature and challenge yourself.
Pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and depart for Hanoi station for overnight train to Laocai. Overnight on train (04 berth cabin sharing)
Arriving at Lao Cai station in the early morning, you will be picked up and transferred to Sapa by shuttle bus.
There are some times for storing the luggage, showering and getting changed for the first day of climbing. You travel by car towards the Silver Waterfall. After a short time to take a picture of the waterfall, you will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views.
The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch. With new energy, you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route, you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of Sapa area and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province.
You will arrive at the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.
Approx: 0,5 hour driving/ 6 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.
After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you can enjoy the best view of beautiful sceneries. You will then start descending. You stop on the way at a nice spot for lunch.
After lunch, you start the tough trek, which is all the way downhill through the rainforest. This part requires a great concentration to step on steep trail until you meet the campsite at 2200m ASL. Here you spend another night in a tent.
Approx: 6 hours of walking/1-hour lunch.
You wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild nature, before heading back to civilization. You trek downhill through well-protected forest and after two hours of hiking, you stop for lunch.
You will then continue descending toward Sin Chai village of Back Hmong minority. On the way, you will be able to enjoy valley views and beautiful surroundings. You stop at the village for a while before you go by car back to Sapa, where you can celebrate your achievement and relax. You will arrive in Hanoi the next early morning. Trip ends at Hanoi station at 5.30 Am approximately.
